As the Director of Operations you will plan and manage the food and beverage and assist operations areas of a luxury-lifestyle boutique hotel to achieve customer, employee, corporate, and owner satisfaction and quality service while meeting or exceeding financial goals. This position is responsible for assisting with short‑ and long‑term planning and day‑to‑day operations of the hotel. You will recommend the area's budget and manage expenses within approved budget constraints and serve as a member of the Hotel Executive Committee.

What Will You Do?
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Managing associates in a lifestyle‑luxury brand to attract, retain, and motivate employees; hiring, training, developing, empowering, coaching, and counseling, conducting performance reviews, resolving problems, providing open communication vehicles, disciplining and terminating, as appropriate.
- Primary focus on the Food & Beverage division to implement service standards, budgetary goals, cohesiveness, and creative solutions that drive financial results and service scores.
- Developing, recommending, implementing, and managing the division's annual budget, forecasts, and objectives to meet or exceed management expectations.
- Following the collective bargaining agreement and team member handbook guidelines on a daily basis.
- Resolving customer complaints to maintain a high level of satisfaction and quality.
- Implementing emergency organization procedures and training through the management of the security staff to ensure appropriate protection for guests, staff, and company assets.
- Creating a work environment that allows for personal growth, encourages an empowered and engaged workforce, and supports Onni values.
- Ensuring prompt and appropriate response to conflict management.
- Evaluating and supporting proper staffing levels to ensure the success of the hotel.
- Supporting strategies for the property from an operational, staffing, and service perspective while aligning with the business’s other disciplines and support teams.
- Ensuring consistent and stabilized systems and processes for customers.
- Mentoring and developing high‑potential talent and ensuring succession planning within each direct report.
- Looking for more efficient and effective ways to provide services to our hotels and owners, leveraging technology and third parties where appropriate.
- Traveling to attend corporate training, meetings, and other events as needed.
What You Bring
Education/Formal Training
A four‑year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience
- 4+ years of Food & Beverage department head experience in a full‑service hotel environment.
- Union experience is required.
- Luxury‑lifestyle hotel experience is preferred.

Abilities
- Moderate hearing is necessary for daily interaction with customers.
- Lifting, pushing, bending, kneeling, pulling, and carrying – must be able to accomplish any task required.

- Continuous standing – must be able to accomplish any task required.
- Climbing up to approximately 40 steps about 1% of a 40‑hour week.
- Driving required as necessary.
Salary Range
$100K – $110K + Quarterly Incentive
