Summary: The Cell & Systems Biology Staff Scientist focuses on understanding cellular mechanisms in host-pathogen interactions and supports multiomics research in high-containment environments. The role involves laboratory research in cell and systems biology to study disease mechanisms and host responses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to characterize cellular responses.
• Collaborate closely with proteomics and transcriptomics teams.
• Support data integration for systems biology models.
• Prepare SOPs and regulatory reports.
• Train junior personnel in laboratory methods.
• Share findings with the project team and communicate effectively through reports and presentations.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of immunological signaling pathways.
• Familiarity with tissue sample processing.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
• Relevant field expertise with a history of independent research demonstrated through publications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
• At least 4 years in biomedical, cellular, or systems biology research.
• Experience with cell culture and imaging techniques.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACTIVE SECRET clearance is preferred.
• Master’s degree is preferred.

Pay and Benefits: The salary range is $95,000 to $113,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
